Project Responsibilities:
When I first arrived at Duo, the Web Design Team didn't have any design documentation. Nobody could remember which variation of green was actually our brand color, or what font size the headers were meant to be. The stylesheets were a mess, too, with dozens of one-off styles. It was maddening for both designers and developers, and resulted in a lot of friction between the teams.
Fortunately for me, I'm the sort who loves to create order from chaos. After conducting a thorough site inventory with the help of the Dev Team, we collaborated to propose a series of design standards. After it was approved by the wider Brand Team, I created a digital library and design standard document that streamlined our workflow and Dev Team handoffs. Afterwards, the Web Design and Dev Teams initiated a homebrew component library project, which further standardized and streamlined our workflows.
